What is the story about?

Molly goes to stay with her Granny when her parents have to leave town. Molly loves her Granny however she has never spent a night away from her parents. This brings out some big emotions and anxieties for Molly. Granny tries lots of different ways to help ease those anxieties and finds the best way to do this is to make Molly and special friend, her own little Sock Bunny.

This book was a big hit for us especially with my son. My son struggles with anxiety so listening to the content I found it grabbed his attention. The story is written well and you are able to empathise with Molly and see Granny really wants to reassure her that she will be ok.

The illustrations are bold and colourful and help to develop the storytelling well.

At the back of the book is a step by step guide on how to make your own sock bunny which my son has asked to do in the holidays. I would definitely recommend this book for helping children with big feelings and anxieties in both the home and educational setting.

Jess kindly also sent me a little hand written note and a pocket bunny for my son to help him  with his anxiety. I was really touched by this and my son now keeps it on his bedroom draws. I have found him whispering some worries into bunnies ears  and he knows he can take it with him whenever he needs it. I really appreciated this.
